Plan a Romantic Dinner with Music, Flowers and Sheer Lingerie

Want to show your partner how much you love him or her? Here are some tips for creating a romantic evening for two at home, complete with delicious food and drinks, music, flowers, mood lighting, and sheer lingerie.

First of all, consider having a theme for your dinner – seafood, Mexican, Thai, French, Italian, Indian and Oriental – and choose napkins, cutlery and music to match. Place some romantic red roses on the table or scatter some rose petals.

Dim the lights and place candles on and around the table for romantic effect. Scented candles with aromas like red rose, jasmine, vanilla and cinnamon work well.

To give the whole room an amorous vibe, drape luxurious fabrics like velvet, silk or satin around the room, and use them to strategically hide less romantic objects like plasma screens and DVD players.

Go all out with drinks. Serve your partner’s favorite wine, or make your own sexy drinks like Cosmopolitans (vodka, Triple Sec, cranberry juice and fresh lime juice) or Peach Bellinis, made with peach schnapps, peach nectar, dry champagne, fresh lemon juice, Grenadine and crushed ice.
